I felt a connection in the poem between food and nurturing that is available in the rituals around daily life and celebrations that I relate too. There is so much comfort and joy that I think it is sad that i can destroy those occasions by being ashamed of my body and feel guilty around food. No matter how aware I am intellectually about there is always a nagging feeling. Loved the delivery

I agree. For years those rituals and moments of connection were overshadowed by guilt. These days I'm much better at being present. I hear you though, those tidel waves of societal pressure don't abait! Xx

Absolutely love the poem. Speaks so much of a fuller life.... who cares about the extra padding on the bones. As long as life is being lived to the fullest and enjoyed... Isn't that enough.
